Huizenga: Real Solutions are Needed to Address Our Broken Immigration System

Statement

It's disappointing Democrats continue to hold political messaging votes instead of working in a bipartisan manner to resolve the serious issues facing our nation regarding immigration. Just last week, a group comprised of more than 1,000 individuals was stopped while entering our country illegally. It's clear the crisis along our southern border is growing. By refusing to address humanitarian concerns, enforcement measures, and border security, H.R. 6 fails to fix our broken immigration system. I believe there is a way to deliver meaningful bipartisan immigration and security reforms but that requires Speaker Pelosi to return to the negotiating table and work on real solutions with input from both Republicans and Democrats to resolve this crisis.
