Statement

Date: May 16, 2019
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Immigration

Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the following statement after President Trump's immigration announcement at the White House.

"Our immigration policies have been failing our nation for years, and comprehensive reforms are necessary. Today, the President outlined key elements to fix our broken system, fully secure the border, and prioritize a merit-based process. I truly hope Congress will see this as an opportunity to restart stalled negotiations on this issue and address the humanitarian and security crisis at our border. My priority remains delivering the American people a working, lawful, and effective immigration system."
