Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, a Senior Chief Deputy Whip, made the following statement this morning in response to reports of Attorney General William Barr's mishandling of the Mueller report and misleading statements to Congress about it:

"An Attorney General who obstructs justice and breaks the law is unfit to serve. William Barr should resign."
