"These cuts will only accelerate the deterioration of public housing units nationwide and the purported reason for underfunding -- fiscal discipline -- rings especially hollow given how @SecretaryCarson spent $40,000 of taxpayer money on a new dining set & dishwasher for his office."

"As residents of the East St. Louis Housing Authority continue to report unsafe and hazardous living conditions, their requests for repairs have gone largely unanswered. I hope @SecretaryCarson will take steps to address this issue and will reconsider cutting this crucial funding."
