Congressman Dan Crenshaw proposed an amendment to H.R. 9, Climate Action Now Act. The amendment inserts a reporting requirement on foreign use of American-produced liquified natural gas (LNG). America's LNG led to a 14% decrease in carbon emissions in the United States. It's also led to decreased emissions across the globe. This legislation seeks to quantity that impact.

"America's role in addressing climate change is producing innovative, cheap energy and exporting it throughout the world. Countries are already using our natural gas to decrease their emissions. Let's start quantifying how important America's LNG is to the U.S. and to the globe."
