Today, Ways & Means Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement after Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin informed him that the IRS would not furnish the requested six years of President Trump's personal and business tax returns:

"Today, Secretary Mnuchin notified me that the IRS will not provide the documents I requested under Section 6103 of the Internal Revenue Code. I will consult with counsel and determine the appropriate response."
