Congressman Wilson Observes 70th Anniversary Of NATO

Statement

U.S. Congressman Joe Wilson (SC-02), a member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, released the following statement honoring the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO):

"The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is stronger today than ever before. At the same time, the alliance faces dangerous new challenges from both state and non-state actors. On the 70th anniversary of NATO's establishment, we must recommit ourselves to peace through strength. I am grateful for recognition by Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg that "America has been the backbone of our Alliance.' The United States will always stand alongside our invaluable NATO allies."
