Rep. Susie Lee Helps Introduce the Dream and Promise Act

Rep. Susie Lee (NV-03) released the following statement after helping introduce the Dream and Promise Act, which will give Dreamers and TPS recipients a more certain future:

"A few weeks ago, I voted for an appropriations deal that increased funding for border security, and it is now time to provide a permanent fix for Dreamers. We should do everything to make sure we protect Dreamers and DACA recipients who have lived and worked in this country since they were children, as well as provide a permanent solution for TPS recipients. For most, America is the only country they know and they should be able to fully contribute to the country they love without fearing detention or deportation. I'm proud to help introduce the Dream and Promise Act to provide security and peace of mind for the tens of thousands of Nevadans and allow them to continue contributing to our state."

There are more than 13,000 DACA and 6,300 TPS recipients who call Nevada home who will benefit from the passing of this legislation.
