U.S. Representative Ted Budd (R-N.C.) released the following statement after a bipartisan group of lawmakers reintroduced the Children and Media Research Advancement (CAMRA) Act:

"I joined my Senate colleagues Ben Sasse (R-Neb.), Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii), Michael Bennet (D-Colo.), Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.), Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Representative Jamie Raskin (MD-08), in reintroducing the Children and Media Research Advancement (CAMRA) Act.

"This legislation calls on the National Institutes of Health to study the health and developmental effects of technology and media on infants, children, and adolescents and its impact on their cognitive, physical, and socio-emotional development. As technology and media consumption is on the rise among our most vulnerable and future generations, it is important that we fully understand the potential harmful impacts that could have a lasting effect for decades to come. I am honored to work with this bipartisan group of congressional leaders and hope the CAMRA Act will be moved forward quickly."
