Statement Of Majority Whip McConnell On The Nomination Of Samuel Alito To The Supreme Court Of The United States

U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell released the following statement today on the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court:

"I congratulate Judge Alito on his nomination to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. He has an impressive record, and I believe he will faithfully interpret the Constitution, not legislate from the bench. I look forward to the confirmation process."
