U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) released the following statement after President Trump's nominee to serve as U.S. Attorney General, William Barr, was reported favorably out of the Senate Judiciary Committee:
"Mr. Barr has already proven he can faithfully support and defend the rule of law, and his willingness to return to public service is admirable. I'm certain he is the right person to restore public confidence in the Justice Department, and I was proud to vote to advance Mr. Barr out of Committee today."
