U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) released the statement following Senate confirmation of William Barr to serve as United States Attorney General:

"After reviewing his record and meeting with the President's nominee for Attorney General, William Barr, I have no doubt that he is well-qualified to lead the Department of Justice. This department has an important duty to serve the American people and strong leadership is absolutely critical. I look forward to working with Mr. Barr and the Department of Justice on issues critical to millions of American families."
