Rep. Susie Lee released the following statement after voting to pass the Natural Resources Management Act this afternoon:
"I came to Congress to make sure both parties found common ground, and today I'm proud to support this bipartisan package that protects our public lands while saving taxpayers' hard-earned money. I have been a strong advocate for conservation and have a deep appreciation for the value of Nevada's public lands, like Red Rock in my district. The passage of this bipartisan bill is a big win for our public lands, for Nevada, and for the economy."
The Natural Resources Management Act permanently reauthorizes the Land and Water Conservation Fund, benefitting places in Nevada like Boulder City, while also preserving 1.3 million acres of new wilderness, protecting a million acres of public lands from mining, and saving taxpayers $9 million
