Representative Sharice Davids (KS-03) has been named to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Davids is the only Member from the Kansas delegation on this important committee.
"It's a privilege to represent Kansas on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee," Davids said. "This committee has jurisdiction over areas that touch every aspect of our lives - especially so in the Kansas City Metro area with its strategic position in our country's heartland as a major transportation hub. I look forward to working in a bipartisan way to advocate for much needed economic development and investment in our roadways, airport, railways, transit network, and local water infrastructure."
As a White House Fellow, Davids was worked in the Department of Transportation under then-Secretary Anthony Foxx and gained valuable experience in transportation policy. She also has experience working in economic and community development--including bringing infrastructure to communities that lacked it.
The House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure has jurisdiction over all modes of transportation and other aspects of our national infrastructure.
