Congresswoman Johnson Announces House Science Committee Vice-Chair, Democratic Subcommittee Assignments

Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, Chairwoman of the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee, yesterday announced that Congressman Ami Bera (D-CA) will serve as the committee's vice-chairman. She also announced subcommittee chairs and assignments for the committee's Democratic members, following the conclusion of an organizational meeting.
"The Science Committee has the responsibility of working to enhance America's competitiveness by promoting the advancement of our nation's research, development, and innovation enterprise, in addition to explore emerging science and technology issues. We have assembled a strong group of Members to do just that," said Congresswoman Johnson. "I look forward to collaborating with our Ranking Member Frank Lucas and all of our Members as we begin working constructively to find solutions for the nation's challenges of today and tomorrow."
