Congressman Van Taylor Lands Important Committee Assignments

Statement

U.S. Congressman Van Taylor (TX-03) was named to the House Education and Labor Committee and Homeland Security Committee for the 116th Congress.
Congressman Taylor stated, "Ensuring our children receive a quality education, adults have the skills needed to join a flourishing workforce, and our country remains safe, within and at our borders, are critical policy objectives with bipartisan solutions." He continued, "Not only are these important issues for Texas, but they are crucial to the continued success of our nation as a whole. I am honored for the opportunity to serve on these pivotal committees."

Congressman Van Taylor brings his experience as a local small businessman, Marine, and former Texas State legislator to both House Committees.
Ranking Member of the House Committee on Education and Labor, Representative Virginia Foxx (NC-05) said, "I'm happy to welcome Congressman Van Taylor to the Committee on Education and Labor. Rep. Taylor will be an important member of the team as Republicans work on commonsense pro-growth policies on behalf of the American people."
