Governor DeWine Recognizes Military Partnership Between Ohio National Guard and Serbian Armed Forces

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Lt. Governor Jon Husted, and Adjutant General Maj. Gen. John C. Harris, Jr. met with Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and several members of her delegation today to recognize the 12-year military partnership between the Ohio National Guard and Serbian Armed Forces.

Brigadier General Steve Stivers and Alex Machaskee, honorary consul for the Republic of Serbia, also participated in the meeting at the Ohio Statehouse.

Ohio and Serbia have partnered since 2006 under the National Guard Bureau's State Partnership Program. The goal of the program is to link state National Guards with partner countries to promote regional stability and develop civil and military relationships.
