Enzi, Barrasso cosponsor concealed-carry reciprocity bill

Date: Jan. 9, 2019
Issues: Guns

U.S. Senators Mike Enzi and John Barrasso, both R-Wyo., cosponsored the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. This legislation would allow individuals with concealed carry permits in their home state to exercise those rights in any other state with concealed carry laws, while abiding by that state's laws.

"The right of the American people to keep and bear arms is guaranteed in the Second Amendment of the Constitution," Enzi said. "This legislation protects law-abiding gun owners around the country, and I look forward to working with my colleagues on this important issue."

"As a concealed carry permit holder, I believe law abiding citizens should be able to carry their firearms across state lines in accordance with state law," Barrasso said. "This legislation will make sure people in Wyoming and across the country can continue to responsibly exercise our Constitutionally-protected right to keep and bear arms."
