Congressman Kelly Armstrong released the following statement regarding the Federal Aviation Administration's selection Northern Plains Unmanned Aerial Systems Test Site as part of a pilot program in drone traffic management:

Congressman Armstrong: "The selection of the Northern Plains Unmanned Aerial Systems Test Site as part of a pilot program in drone traffic management keeps North Dakota on the cutting edge of drone technology and development. With this designation, North Dakota will continue to play an integral role in establishing safety standards for low-altitude drone operation throughout the country. North Dakota has long nurtured drone innovation and is now cemented as a nationwide leader. This is good for North Dakota and the country."

Armstrong was sworn in as North Dakota's lone Congressman on January 3, 2019.
