On Thursday, November 29, 2018, the House voted on H.R. 7187, National Flood Insurance Program Further Extension Act. This legislation extends the current National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) through December 7. After passage of the bill, Congressman Randy Weber (R -- Friendswood) released the following statement:

"The National Flood Insurance Program lives to see another day, but it still lacks needed reform. We cannot keep avoiding the task at hand. The House passed a comprehensive reform measure earlier this Congress. It is time for the Senate to pass our bill."
