Statement from Governor Phil Scott for Thanksgiving

Governor Phil Scott today issued the following statement for Thanksgiving.

"I wish all Vermonters a happy and safe Thanksgiving Day and weekend. I hope everyone has the opportunity to spend this time with family and friends.

"At a time when the nation feels so divided, let's consider using this time of year to reflect on our shared values and what brings us together. I know Vermont can lead the way on restoring a sense of unity. There is no better time to start than on a day when we give thanks for all the good in our lives.

"It's also a time when we think more about helping and supporting our neighbors. This sense of community and responsibility to each other is part of what makes Vermont so special. I know we can carry that spirit throughout the year, as well.

"Finally, as we celebrate one of our country's oldest traditions, I want to thank the men and women who serve, or have served, our country, including the those who can't be with their families for the holidays."
