Today U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) issued the following statement after Governor Greg Abbott appointed Major General Tracy Norris as the Adjutant General of Texas, effective January 1, 2019:

"The Texas Military Department will be well-served by the leadership of Major General Norris," said Sen. Cornyn. "Throughout her 32 years of service, she has demonstrated unwavering patriotism, dedication, and talent, and I commend her on achieving this appointment to her next role."
