Every parent works hard to ensure their children have a bright future, but many of Maryland's public schools lack the facilities and teachers they need to properly educate Maryland's youth. It is getting harder and harder to afford college, and the costs of preschool put strains on working families. Karen strongly encourages boldly investing in our children's future.

Karen believes in fully-funding our K-12 education system with all the materials teachers need to properly educate their students. This means making schools a secure place of learning that gives students the resources and instructions they need to be successful. Karen has consistently voted in favor of record breaking funding for our schools and for students to be judged on their entire educational record -- not solely standardized tests.

Karen supports making higher education accessible to all Marylanders, despite their income level. This means affordable paths to higher education and technical training that will give residents of Frederick and Maryland, the skills they need to find a good paying job.
