Dawn is an independent thinker who believes that we make the best decisions when we make those decisions together. Creative and effective solutions to our state's challenges come from bringing all stakeholders to the table, listening, engaging and finding common ground for Newport, Jamestown and Rhode Island. Since being elected, Dawn has held several community meetings to ensure the voices of District 13 residents are represented at the State House. Additionally, she is the lead sponsor of Common Cause's legislation to create an independent citizen redistricting commission. She is also a co-sponsor of line-item veto legislation.
