Statement on Presiden Bush's Speech on Iraq and the War on Terror

Congresswoman Betty McCollum issued the following statement on President Bush's speech on Iraq and the war on terror at the National Endowment for Democracy.
"President Bush ignored the reality that Iraq is deteriorating into civil war and instead chose to lecture the American people with his vision of perpetual fear. Why is this president incapable of giving us a competent plan to stabilize Iraq and bring our troops home? After two and a half years this administration still can't deliver a strategy for success in Iraq."
