Today, JB Pritzker released the following statement on Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court:

"Today, the U.S. Senate confirmed a radical and unrestrained judge under a cloud of sexual assault allegations to our nation's highest court," said JB Pritzker. "I have opposed Kavanaugh's nomination from day one because he threatens the rights of millions and could undermine everything from a woman's right to choose, affordable healthcare, LGBTQ rights, consumer protections, fair housing, and environmental protections. Bruce Rauner, on the other hand, has given Kavanaugh his full-throated endorsement and has supported him from the beginning, siding with Donald Trump instead of believing women and protecting Illinoisans. I believe Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and like many Americans today, I am angry and disappointed. But we can't be deterred in this fight. We must let this energize us toward winning big in November and electing Democrats across our state and our country."
