Today, JB Pritzker released the following statement on the Trump administration's new rule that targets immigrant families:

"Making immigrant families choose between feeding and housing themselves and obtaining green cards is one of the most vicious and cruel attacks Donald Trump has waged on our communities,"said JB Pritzker. "Designating the use of public benefits as a factor to deny someone's green card application is a cruel policy designed to push immigrants into the shadows and out of this country. This callous proposal will force many families to withdraw from programs that provide them with access to healthcare, basic nutrition, and affordable housing. I am appalled by this bigoted rule and stand with immigrant families across Illinois in the fight for fair treatment."
