JB Pritzker and Patrick J. Kennedy Hold Mental Health Roundtable

Today, JB Pritzker and former Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy, a national leader in the mental health field, held a roundtable on mental health and substance abuse treatment with State Representative Sara Feigenholtz and community-based providers and clients. Representatives of seven organizations joined the discussion at the Instituto de Progreso Latino in Pilsen.

The roundtable follows JB and Juliana addressing the City Club of Chicago on ending the stigma around mental health and the path forward. Watch their full remarks HERE.

"It's an honor to have the support of Patrick Kennedy, a national leader in the mental health field," said JB Pritzker. "The expertise that he, along with community-based providers, bring to the table has helped shape my vision for improving access to mental health and substance abuse treatment in Illinois. Mental health must be woven into the fabric of public policy, and that's why so many of our policy plans incorporate mental health as a key component. As governor, I will make sure everyone has a seat at the table when crafting and implementing mental health policy so that all Illinoisans have the tools they need to build better lives."
