U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the following statement regarding the tragic shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue:

"Today's tragic shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh was a cowardly act, driven by hate. The Senate stands with all Americans to condemn the evil of bigotry in all its forms. As the Pittsburgh community mourns, our prayers are with the victims and their families, and our sincere gratitude is with the first responders who work to protect and save lives every day."
