Term limits are essential here in Texas. I'm a conservative business man and not a career politician. My folks were teachers (who didn't have a lot of money) and I started my business with about $80 in my pocket. I've seen first hand that government regulations can strangle businesses. Unfortunately, without term limits, career politicians sit in office losing touch with the way things really are for 10, 12, sometimes even 16 years. They become beholden to special interest and are no longer able to work aggressively for their constituents. We need term limits and we need to work diligently to stem government corruption.
