If Texas is to continue as one of the best places to work and start a business then we must cut burdensome red tape, control taxes and spending, and invest in an educated workforce. This will help provide a staple and predictable job climate for businesses and entrepreneurs -- the ones who can create jobs and grow the economy.
As your State Representative, I co-authored House Joint Resolution 38. HJR 38 proposed a constitutional amendment prohibiting the imposition of a state income tax. On November 5, 2019, Texas voters approved the constitutional amendment with over 74% of the vote.
