The United States is the only developed, industrialized nation in the world that does not have universal healthcare for its citizens. Yet America spends almost twice as much on healthcare expenses compared to the countries that do provide universal care. Something just isn't adding up!

I support the goal of universal healthcare -- I believe it's the right thing to do and I believe it's the smart thing to do. And in the Assembly, I will support efforts to responsibly deliver universal healthcare for California.
