Issue Position: Oppose New Taxes and Wasteful Government Spending

Issue Position

As Ronald Reagan famously said, "We don't have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem." Government spending needs to be reduced to match revenues at all levels of government and should be focused on core government responsibilities such as justice, transportation and infrastructure, public safety, and education.

I'm a working mom who grew up in modest circumstances. I believe in common-sense, conservative fiscal discipline. State functions, programs and agencies which can't justify their value to taxpayers should be cut or abolished. I will always oppose efforts to raise taxes, and will fight to cut taxes.
