Issue Position: Protect Our Schools & End Common Core

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2018
Issues: Education

As the father of four and a former Forsyth County School Board Co-Volunteer of the Year, Todd knows that we must not be complacent with our top-ranked schools. Todd is working with K-12 Budget Appropriations to change the capital funding model for fast-growing counties. Todd will support legislation requiring new developments to pay their fair share with school impact fees to fund new school construction to keep up with growth. When it comes to Common Core, Todd isn't just talk, he's actually done something about it. In his role as an advisor to the nation's largest public virtual school in the country, Todd has worked to put an end to federal encroachment on our public schools. Now, he is continuing to fight Common Core in the State House.
