Issue Position

Ryan has been called a "taxpayer hero" for consistently voting against tax increases and wasteful spending. He was the prime sponsor of legislation that reformed Pennsylvania's Tax Code. This legislation closed corporate tax loopholes that were costing taxpayers millions of dollars and used the revenue to lower and eliminate other taxes. Ryan has also helped write and pass legislation that saved taxpayers almost $400 million a year, cut wasteful government spending, and eliminated duplicate programs.
