Issue Position

Through no fault of their own, some parts of the population face struggles that most do not understand. It could be as simple as an autistic driver having difficulty communicating with a police officer or as complicated as victims of human trafficking trying to rebuild their lives. Sometimes, we just need a little help. That is why I was proud to sponsor legislation that improves the safety of both people who have a communication disability and law enforcement (HB 115) and a measure that would expunge the records of victims of human trafficking for crimes they were forced to commit due to their trafficking (HB 56).
