Statement

Date: Sept. 25, 2018
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Kevin Cramer issued the following statement on President Trump's decision to revise the 2012 United States -- Korea Free Trade Agreement (KORUS). The deal agreed to balance trade between the countries and strengthens American exports and steel manufacturing jobs.

"I appreciate steps taken by this Administration to ensure trade deals for the U.S. and our allies are free, fair, and reciprocal. I am encouraged by yesterday's trade agreement outcome that will reduce the trade deficit and reinforce our economic and national security relationship with South Korea. I look forward to more details emerging and input from North Dakota's stakeholders on the announcement."
