"I've never seen as partisan a statement by a federal judicial nominee as I saw from Judge Kavanaugh last week. He claimed that he bore "no ill will" towards Dr. Ford, then turned right around and called her allegations, "a calculated and orchestrated political hit.""

""He cited "apparent pent-up anger about President Trump and the 2016 election" and "revenge on behalf of the Clintons." These partisan attacks were in no way responsive to Dr. Ford's testimony. It was like he was appealing directly to President Trump."

"It is hard to imagine how a nominee who has displayed such raw partisanship could then claim to serve as a neutral umpire on the Supreme Court."

"With so much at stake, we should not confirm a nominee to the Court unless we are sure that the nominee's credibility, integrity, independence, and judgment are beyond question."

""The faith of the American people in the integrity of the Supreme Court is hanging in the balance. Let's do this the right way. Let's allow the FBI to do a thorough, non-partisan investigation into the serious, pending allegations. No more interference, no more concealment."
