Dean Heller Has "No Reservations" About Trump's Supreme Court Nominee. None at All.
Statement
When Sen. Dean Heller met briefly with President Trump's nominee for the Supreme Court in July, he announced immediately afterwards that he has "no reservations in confidently supporting Judge Kavanaugh's confirmation."
Kavanaugh has shown open hostility toward Roe v. Wade, is a potential threat to the Affordable Care Act and protections for people with pre-existing conditions, and issued a legal opinion to force the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to resume licensing efforts to revive Yucca Mountain as the nation's nuclear waste dumping ground. LGBT advocates and civil rights organizations are deeply concerned about his nomination.
But Sen. Heller? He's got "no reservations." None at all.

"The future of our civil rights, women's reproductive freedom, and the Affordable Care Act all hang in the balance with this Supreme Court nomination. If Senator Heller doesn't have a single reservation about confirming Judge Kavanaugh, then he clearly didn't ask tough questions or do his homework, he hasn't done his job, and he's out of touch with Nevadans. Our state deserves a Senator who will be an independent voice when it matters most, and voters will hold Senator Heller accountable for becoming just another partisan rubber stamp for President Trump in Washington."
