Issue Position

As a healthcare advocate, Melissa fought to lower the cost of life-saving prescription drugs and has worked to increase access to quality healthcare for the Valley. In the State Senate, Melissa will fight against the federal government's efforts to undermine the Affordable Care Act and will protect funding for Medi-Cal, which serves half of those living in the Valley. With the Valley experiencing a dire shortage of primary care physicians and nurses, Melissa will continue to fight for increased access to quality healthcare by working to attract and train more doctors and nurses right here in the Valley.
