Issue Position

As a business owner I strongly believe that a sound economy should encompass our entire community as a whole. I believe that we should look to offer a working environment that provides opportunities for all North Carolinians. We need new ideas that promote jobs for those in rural areas of the district, while we continue to grow our urban areas and cities through free enterprise. Last year, over 40% of the working men and women of North Carolina's 12th District were forced to leave their home county for work. By focusing on fiscal drivers in agricultural manufacturing we can make strides to reduce this number, and keep more of our hard-earned money in our district and communities. We must take advantage of opportunities that will bring jobs back to the 12th District so we can spend less time in traffic and more time with our families.
