Today, Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM-01) joined firefighters from the greater Albuquerque area for their annual stair climb to mark 17 years since the terror attacks of September 11, 2001:
"17 years after September 11, 2001, we will never forget the lives lost, the sacrifices made, and the families still living with the memories and effects of that tragic day.
"I was proud to join firefighters in Albuquerque this morning as they made their annual stair climb in honor of the courageous first responders who ran into harm's way to save countless innocent lives. Their brave actions and disregard for their own well-being embody the unifying spirit of our nation.
"This September 11th, let us remember what unites us as Americans, commit to the security of Americans at home and abroad, and continue fighting for those still suffering from 9/11-related illnesses."
