Pete Stauber continues to build an impressive list of endorsements for his congressional candidacy because he is an independent voice who advocates for pro-growth policies and will fight for all Minnesotans in the 8th congressional district.
"Every day I continue to be honored and humbled by the widespread support I am receiving across the 8th district and throughout Minnesota," said Stauber, who served 22 years as a police officer for the Duluth Police Department. "At the local, state, and federal levels we must work together to unleash the economic engine in our region and ensure every Minnesotan has a shot at their version of the American dream."
Stauber's candidacy continues to receive support locally and nationally. President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence have both visited Duluth to strongly express their endorsement of Stauber.
"He is a great guy, and he loves you, and he loves this country," said President Trump. "He's going to do fantastically."
"Pete Stauber has dedicated his entire life to serving his community. Now after two decades protecting others as a member of the Duluth Police Department, he is stepping forward to fight for us all in Washington," said Minnesota Speaker of the House, Kurt Daudt, a resident of the 8th district. "Pete is the only candidate in the race who will grow jobs in Northern Minnesota by eliminating obstacles to mining and pipeline projects. He will be an advocate for our Minnesota values and push back against wasteful spending and expensive government-run health care schemes."
"I am supporting Pete Stauber for Representative of the 8th Congressional District," said Mayor of Ely, Chuck Novak. "I have known Pete to be forthright and believe he will represent what is in the best interest of the entire district. His message is consistent and in line with everything he has done as a St. Louis County Commissioner."
