Statement of Governor Warner on Today's U.S. Supreme Court Decision in Lawrence v. Texas

Governor Mark R. Warner today issued the following statement regarding the ruling of the U.S. Supreme Court in Lawrence v. Texas.
"As with any Supreme Court decision, this is now the law of the land, and the Commonwealth will comply.
"The Court's decision is grounded in the Constitutional right to privacy. I know that the Commonwealth attorneys and the Attorney General are studying the decision carefully to determine its appropriate effect in Virginia."
