Ensuring that our children can be educated in a safe environment is a universal goal shared by parents, teachers and elected officials. As your Representative in Congress, I am committed to working with you to find common-sense solutions to make our schools safer, and to provide information about existing federal resources that are designated for this purpose.

Included with this letter is information regarding existing federal programs and grants that can be used to enhance school safety. These initiatives span four federal agencies and include billions of dollars to fund efforts to create a safer learning environment for our children.
