Indictment of House Majority Leader Tom DeLay

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (Conn.-3) today released the following statement on the indictment of House Majority Leader Tom DeLay.

"With the indictment of the House majority leader, the ongoing investigation of the Senate majority leader, and the arrest of the chief procurement officer of the White House, there is a pattern of corruption and an abuse of power consuming our government. Especially after Hurricane Katrina, Washington has got to get back to doing what is in the public interest."
