Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) today released the following statement regarding children and parents being separated at the southern border when parents are detained for illegally entering the United States:

"Parents and children need to stay together. Last night, House Republicans met with President Trump to discuss finding a legislative solution that fixes our broken immigration system. My colleagues and I agree that we cannot continue to allow this to happen, and we are working on legislation to address this issue this week."
