"The Trump Administration has identified 2,551 children between the ages of 5 and 17 who were separated from their parents. Of these children, the Administration claims that only 1,634 are "possibly eligible" for reunification."

"What about the other 917 children? My office has heard from attorneys who are representing some of these children and they have not been given any explanation for why they are not eligible to be reunited with their parents."

"More than half -- 463 -- have parents who are, "not in the U.S." -- apparently because they have been deported by this Administration."

"And the Administration has 37 children in custody who have, "not yet been matched" to their parent. In other words, the government has lost track of the parents of 37 children. This is an outrage."
