Today, Congressman Foster issued the following statement on House Resolution 990:
"A vote on this resolution is a waste of our time and resources on legislation that does nothing to help the children unnecessarily and brutally separated from their parents. Our national security is a top priority, but the anti-immigrant language in this resolution is un-American. The Speaker could easily call a vote on legislation that would reform our immigration system and create a pathway for DREAMers to stay in our country -- measures that the majority of Americans support. It's time for Congress to do its job. Let's stop these senseless political stunts and bring commonsense legislation to the House Floor."
