U.S. Rep. Castor Calls For End of Trump Immigration Policy Ripping Families Apart

Today, U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor (FL14) released a statement on the Trump Administration and GOP's new policy to rip children from their parents along the U.S. border with Mexico and at other ports of entry into the United States:
"Under current law, it is right and legal for individuals fleeing persecution and violence to request asylum in the United States. Until recently, children of asylum seekers were not separated from their parents," U.S. Rep. Castor said. "But under Trump's new policy, they are and many of the children are very young -- even infants and toddlers. Frankly, this policy looks like child abuse."
